Team Leader – Corporate Operations

Reporting to Corporate Operations Manager, this is a Supervisory role whose main purpose is to carry out quality checks to ensure that all back office investments data is timeously and accurately captured onto the system as well as accurate and timely pricing for the funds. 

This will lead to efficiency and effectiveness in terms of corporate operations which is critical for proper funds management.

The Key outputs of this position are: –
  • Support delivery of the Business Unit’s strategy by delivering on the set expectations for the Corporate Operations Team. This is achieved by data verification before upload in the system; timely and accurate cash reconciliations; review of income distribution reconciliation; generation of client’s valuation reports; resolution of queries.
  • Manage and resolve audit issues by ensuring compliance to legal and internal requirements. 
  • Escalate risk/control breaks to management when identified.
  • Assist the supervisor in managing the Units budget by resource use optimization.
  • Manage day to day work processes for the team to realize the delivery of the team objectives.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders actively.
  • Any other assigned role.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Business related degree or related discipline.
  • Thorough knowledge of corporate operations within Asset Management or related environments
  • Over five (5) years’ experience in a busy Corporate Operations environment. Over two (2) years supervisory experience in Corporate Operations set up is critical to the role.
  • Strong analytical capability and grasp of the Asset Management market.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Attention to detail is a key attribute of the role.
  • Demonstrate good leadership skills.
