Anticipated Kenya Health Project
Seeking long – and short-term technical specialists

Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm, is seeking long- and short-term professionals for an anticipated USAID – funded project in Kenya focusing on improving the nutritional status of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) by promoting good nutrition and preventing malnutrition.

The project will focus on the introduction of effective nutritional products, building a robust supply chain, and improving health facility performance.

We are seeking specialists in the following areas:
  • Nutrition
  • Nutrition and health training and capacity building
  • Clinical training and capacity building
  • Livelihoods and food security
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Behavior Change Communication (BCC)
  • Production and distribution of ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs)
  • Health supply chain management
  • Health management information systems
  • Health accountability and advocacy
  • Community health
  • Procurement
  • Health program monitoring and evaluation
  • Human Capacity Development
  • Health Quality Assurance/Improvement
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree preferred in public health, nutrition, or related field
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working in health and development projects/programs with substantial expertise in HIV/AIDS interventions and food and nutrition support
  • Proven experience working at county level in health delivery
  • Proven record in successful delivery of technical assistance
  • Strong understanding of the Nutrition and HIV/AIDS situation and challenges in Kenya
  • Experience working collaboratively with the government of Kenya, international donors, and local organisations
  • Proven managerial/supervisory experience
  • Experience with USAID highly preferred
  • Experience working with gender, vulnerable groups and development is an asset
  • Fluency in English is required
