Position: Tuk Tuk Sales Representatives
Reporting to: General Trade Manager
 
Job Location: Nairobi
 
Salary Range: 25K-30K plus Commissions

Job Summary: Our client in FMCG seeks to recruit Tuk Tuk Sales Reps.

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Sales function in an efficient and effective manner servicing a defined customer list within a geographic sales territory.
The tuk tuk sales representatives will manage the profitability of these customers, and the products that are distributed within this territory.
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
  • Gathering market and customer information
  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
  • Checking the quantities of goods on display and in stock
  • Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office, or entering figures into a computer system
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
  • Feeding future buying trends back to employers
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Diploma/ Certificate in sales and marketing or equivalent
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent communication skills both in English and Swahili
  • 3 years’ experience in van sales/ Tuk Tuk sales or Motor cycle sales
  • FMCG sales experience is a requirement
  • Motor cycle driver’s license
