Duma Works is recruiting a Housing Project Manager for one of our clients. 
The company is a leading Credit and Savings Society in Kenya.

Nairobi

Position Summary: The position holder will perform all the basic bookkeeping and help in preparation of final reports for housing. He or she will be liaison person with all partners in respect to housing projects.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying land and housing projects which will be attractive to both internal and external members
  • Advice on the trend of other housing companies
  • Costing different products
  • Marketing the investment projects to new and existing members in line with 2015-2019 Strategic plan
  • Creating Rapport with various municipal within Nairobi County and neighboring counties to understand their vision 2030 infrastructure and further search for potential land for purchase.
  • Financial analysis and valuation of existing and development real estate opportunities.
  • Assist in drafting of investment memorandums for both committee and external client presentations.
  • Actively participate in due diligence of approved deals including lease review and analysis of third party audit, engineering and environmental reports.
  • Analysis of market and demographic studies
  • Maintaining accounting records of the housing society and investment, processing the society’s payments and receipts
  • Preparing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assisting the finance Manager in preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Filing all tax returns of the housing society.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager in preparing for audits.
  • Imprest management
  • Provide leadership to the Accounts Assistant
  • Marketing Sacco Products to members to assist them acquire investment products
Qualifications:
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in real estate or housing co-operatives.
  • Should be 28 years and above

  • Sound ICT skills, Interpersonal skills,
  • A good team player,
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Analysis of market and demographic studies
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Strong analytic capabilities and skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Expert in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong end-to-end generalist problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in executing programs under tight timeframes
