Our Client is a fast growing Insurance Company with a wide Branch network in various counties seeking to recruit dynamic, self-driven and innovative Branch Managers to join their sales team in Nairobi, Thika and Meru Offices.

Job Summary: As the overall in charge of the branch office, the successful candidates will ensure the office runs efficiently and profitably, to coordinate and supervise the marketing team and agency force, to drive marketing and sales, management of credit control within company policy as well as maintain high customer service functions in the designated region.

Key Results Areas

  • Design and implement marketing and sales plans.
  • Identify and target the niche market through brokers, agents and direct agents and direct clients and build and maintain a strong presence in the region.
  • Development of direct agency team through identifying and managing Unit Team Leaders to drive sales team.
  • Provide guidance to the marketing team and direct agents on efficient use of marketing tools.
  • Continuously ensure branch is a profitable center for the business and achievement of set targets.
  • Adhere to credit policy as per the company guidelines to ensure receivable are at acceptable levels.
  • Develop Agency team retention and motivation strategies.
  • Gather monitor and report intelligence information within the designated region on products, target market, premium rates and underwriting techniques, sales and brokers network and client base.
  • Ensure excellent customer service delivery in the branch office
Education and Key Competencies
  • Be at least 28 years of age;
  • Have a minimum education level of K.S.C.E. C (Plain);
  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing from a recognized Institution
  • Diploma in ACII, London or a qualification from Insurance Institute of Kenya
  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance will be an added advantage
  • Should be computer literate;
  • Mature, Confident, Articulate and with strong communication skills;
  • Resulted oriented with ability to work under strict deadlines and meet set sales targets;
  • A high sales drive and a passionate will to succeed through personal effort;
  • Well groomed, presentable and strong interpersonal skills Prior experience in sales and/or insurance will be a definite advantage.
  • At least four years’ experience in managing retail operations in insurance industry.
