Business Systems Analyst

Reporting to Head of ICT Projects, the successful candidates will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing business and systems requirements, modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems in consultation with users to make process and systems more efficient and employees more productive.

- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems, and make recommendations on custom applications.
- Conduct needs assessments and cost/benefit analysis to align the technology of the Bank with their business strategies.
- Receive business needs from stakeholders, solicit product and enhancement requirements from end users and convert the requests from both into a workable solution to present to systems developers or programming consultants.
- Plan, implement and subsequently maintain efficient, cost effective and highly resilient production systems to drive the Bank’s business.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
- Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
- Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
- Create & maintain documentation for technical procedures relating to various applications i.e operations, user guide, etc.
- Create system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
- Assist users in customizing their profiles & other system configurations for smooth running of the Bank applications
- Liaise with 3rd party application development & programming consultants and business units to resolve software issues.
Position Requirements:
- University degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Information Technology with at least 2 years hands-on technical roles in the field
- Extensive knowledge of dato processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
- Strong project management skills & technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.
- Strong analytical, communication & problem solving skills.
- Self-motivated & results oriented individual with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;
