Channel Manager Horeca

Main Purpose of the Job:
Lead the Sales Operations network (i.e. direct and/or indirect) and the distributor Sales team to deliver agreed objectives within assigned market
 
Key Outputs:
  • Create and generate demand for our products through creating a network around the channel.
  • To effectively develop and manage distributors through tracking of customer business plans deployment in the regions.
  • Customer analysis: insight, strategy, dilemmas, targets, goals, obstacles to understand and share the business opportunity for NP.
  • Recruitment of operators and sellers for the street operation model.
  • Relationship building with existing customers and recruit new customers to increase our customer base.
  • Adapt business plan from head office to the distributors.
  • Ensure optimal availability of products over long and short term.
  • Monitor sales in our market to ensure targets and objectives are met.
  • Handle customer complaints and enquiries with the support of Consumer Services in Kenya.
  • Liaise regularly with other departments to ensure product availability in line with sales requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all Company principles and policies including NMLP, TS, Nestle/local Trade policy, local Trade Terms, IC3, Safety and local regulations.
Key Experiences:
  • More than 5 years in marketing or sales, and over this period has successfully delivered on KPIs, especially top and bottom line business results
  • Leads regional Field Sales function. – Understands all sales functions i.e. CCSD, Customer, Field Sales
  • Has demonstrated success in a number of diverse sales roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop people   
  • Having worked with Horeca(Hotel Restaurants & Cafeterias) /food service industry channels is an added advantage
Knowledge:
  • Core knowledge of the 10 Principles and expert knowledge in our areas of responsibility. (mandatory – do not remove or change)
  • Good knowledge of interrelationship of key functions and their key initiatives (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Technical and Globe & IS/IT)
  •  Knowledge of core Business Processes (Field / Distribution Management, Financial Reporting, Training, HR Policies, Traceability, Quality Fundamentals, etc. – Knowledge of Field Sales Management, Distributor Management Best Practice, Market Intelligence and Channel/Shopper trends
  • Good knowledge of channel structure and opportunities in the market
