Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (Lewa), based in Isiolo Kenya, is an organization that works as a catalyst and a model for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
We are looking for a mature, high calibre, self-driven and dedicated Stores Foreman with a commitment to excellence to enhance our stores management.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for oversight and supervision of all stores activities and running of the stores as per the set standards and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventories to ensure availability of merchandise for user departments;
- Secure stock in the stores by implementing security measures as per the set protocols.
- Generate periodic stores management reports for the Logistics Manager and other user departments.
- Be prepared to meet urgent timelines in delivering spares and other items.
- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programmes, operational and personnel policies and procedures at the stores;
- Manage stores personnel and maintain a close working relationship with all Lewa departments; and
- Ensure that all occupational safety and health regulations are adhered to in the stores.
Job Specifications
The job holder must possess:
- Higher Diploma in Purchases and Supplies Management with at least five years post qualification experience in a busy store;
- Proficiency in Pastel software;
- Experience with Road Base Fleet Management system will be an added advantage;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Strong operations experience in receiving, stock and inventory as well as front-end management and office management;
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; and
- Strong interpersonal, motivational, communication, attention to detail and personnel management skills
