The AMPATH Reference Laboratory provides testing for research and care programs in AMPATH.
AMPATH is a partnership between Moi University (MU), Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) and AMPATH Consortium and promotes population health through care, research and training.

Laboratory Manager

Requirements:
- Masters or PhD degree in a laboratory-related science subject with 8 years’ experience working in a busy research laboratory of which 5 years were in a managerial position.
- Training in Laboratory Quality Management Systems (LQMS), Laboratory Best Practices or Laboratory Management Systems (LMS).
- Registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board (KMLTTB).
Laboratory Quality Manager

Requirements:
- Higher National Diploma (HND) specializing in a specified area of laboratory science with 6 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory-related science subject with 5 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
OR
- Master’s degree in a laboratory-related science subject with 3 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Training in Laboratory Quality Management Systems (LQMS).
- Registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board (KMLTTB).
Laboratory Data Manager

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics/Mathematics or related field with 2 years’ experience in Laboratory Data Management Systems (LDMS).
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Laboratory Data Management System or any other equivalent laboratory data management system.
- Possess statistical and computer experience of more than 1 year.
- Experience and proficiency in statistical software e.g. SAS (highly recommended), SPSS, STATA, S-Plus/R, EpiInfo and spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation and manipulation of data, have knowledge of database management and retrieval methods.
