Position: Vegetarian Cook
Location: Nairobi
 
Salary: 20K
We are seeking several High Energy Organic Vegetarian Cooks and Prep Cooks to join our client’s team to work on contract food service accounts.

Primary Job Description: Prepare, cook, and assemble meals for the directors. 

A prep cook’s role is to assist in the preparation of meals by chopping and cleaning vegetables, slicing meats and putting together entrees. 
Must be able to utilize a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, include chopping knives and vegetable grinders. 

 

Vegetarian Cooks duties are the same with more attention to detail, leadership responsibility, and the ability and EXPERIENCE to make Vegetarian recipe modifications and alterations based on their food knowledge.

In addition to his or her food preparation duties, a Vegetarian Cook may also be responsible for completing a large number of smaller tasks. 

Such tasks could include ensuring that leftover food is stored properly, performing kitchen maintenance and cleaning tasks, and testing the temperature of food at specified intervals.

Must be able to set the table 

Requirements
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a vegetarian cook
  • A diploma in food production/ Hospitality
  • Very presentable
