BBROOD Rwanda is the new top bakery in in town, selling the best quality breads and pastries. Founded in The Netherlands in 2008, BBROOD is expanding quickly in the East-African region. Rwanda is the second country after two successful years in Uganda where we have become the market-leader in the premium segment.

Context:

Under the overall supervision of the BBROOD Rwanda manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising sales at our shops; managing and training junior staff and developing premium customer service.

Core functions/Responsibilities:

 

  1. Supervise, motivate and develop sales staff in a coherent, organized and professional way; ensure the department operates as a team.
  2. Work with managers to ensure that the company’s policies and goals are accomplished on time; demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to changing business priorities.
  3. Maintain the image of BBROOD before customers by handling customer complaints at hand; document customer requirements & complaints and follow up with management.
  4. Maintain customer focus at all times and carry out regular satisfaction audits to ensure that no customers are lost and assist in preparations for customer incentive programs.
  5. Ensure only fresh and high quality products are sold, that these are displayed in an attractive way and available at all times; report any imperfection to production supervisor.
  6. Plan realistic sales in advance and place orders at production department accordingly.
  7. Fully accountable for amounts of sales, wastage in sales and record of all; ensure balance in sales and products at all times.
  8. Responsible for the implementation for the Quality and Food Safety Management system against the requirements of ISO 9000 series and BRC/HACCP, including monitoring and controlling of CCPs.
  9. Prepare invoices for customers buying on credit.
  10. Periodically evaluate sales staff, assist in recruitment of new staff.
  11. Oversee housekeeping & good manufacturing practices and timekeeping in work area.
  12. Adhere to the health and safety and QMS guidelines at all times; keep track of work done by filling in checklists.

Desirable Qualifications and experience

  1. Customer Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services; excellent customer service skills and interpersonal and communication skills; customer friendly, motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
  2. Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for presenting, promoting and selling products and services; target driven, self-motivated and enthusiast with strong persuasive skills; commercial attitude.
  3. Experience in food processing is an advantage.
  4. Able to work under stress in a highly dynamic environment; able to multi-task.
  5. High level of honesty and respect, professionalism, confidentiality and independence.
  6. Leadership skills.
  7. Affinity with BBROOD products and representative for the company.
  8. Three years of experience in a similar (hospitality) position.
  9. Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office applications)
  10. Time management skills

Languages

Excellent command of spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of French and Kinyarwanda language an advantage.
