The Manager is to head Network Architects or Engineers who design computer networks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing and directly involved in Training of technical staff, technical installation, support, configuration and commissioning of projects for efficient performance of the Networking Solutions portfolio
- Ensuring that all the transactions and activities related to the Networking Solutions portfolio are well recorded and are up-to-date in the Customer Relationship Management System (C.R.M).
- Ensuring that all the reports, analysis and feedback relating to the performance of the Networking Solutions are prepared and presented as required by the top management.
- Ensuring that the Telephony solutions are well marketed to both the employees and potential clients to arouse interest and drive sales.
- Dealing with Internal and External customers to improve business profitability.
- Responsible for managing departmental budget.

Maintain Technology Product Strategy
- Lead product strategy with annual product solution strategy roadmap with sales target.
- Justify on a continuing basis the current product solution offering based on :-

Maintain Technology Product Range
- Maintain preferred product solutions list with company required margins.
- Make available on-line user friendly entire product solutions range to clientele, quickly, easily for simple and accurate product solution selection, with required tips, critical advantages and other required user information.
- Provide information centre to keep the organization and clients up to date with commercial and technical information related to our technical offering.
- Identify key suppliers – assist with pricing negotiation.
- Optimize stock holdings based on
- Sales forecasts
- Min & Max optimal holdings
- Supplier price breaks
Manage Project and Sales Staff
- Provide ongoing product & solution based training to project / support and sales staff.
- Assist with Technical designs in quotes and tenders.
- Attend site visits where your expertise is required
- Attend client visits where your product knowledge is a key to winning the client over
- Attend trade shows as a technical expert
Support of Resellers (Could Be Smoothtel and Data Solution Regional Customers)
- Provide ongoing product & solution based training to sales staff.
- Assist with Technical designs in quotes and tenders.
- Attend site visits where your expertise is required.
- Attend client visits where your product knowledge is a key to winning the client over.
- Attend trade shows as a technical expert.
Manage Technical / Installation Staff
- Provide ongoing product & solution based training to tech staff.
- Assist staff with product and solution designs until they are competent.
- Assist staff with technical configuration + commissioning until they are Competent.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Based Operations
- Record all the transactions and activities related to the Telephony Solutions portfolio and that they are up-to-date in the CRM system.
- Provide all the reports, analysis and feedback relating to the performance of the Telephony solutions via the CRM.
Sales Strategy
- Assessing market size and potential
- Setting a detailed three to five year sales strategy and revenue targets with Business Development Manager
- Developing realistic yet thorough implementation plans to achieve sales strategy
- Categorise market segments and develop sales territories
- Determining sales force size; mix and total go to market strategy
- Developing areas of differentiation and excellence
Sales Objectives
- Set and achieve yearly, quarterly and monthly goals and objectives based on sales strategy
- Set annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly goals with each sales representative and with team
- Develop action strategies and implementation plans to achieve organisational objectives
- Take full ownership for results, and report to Business Development Manager in good time if a goal will not be achieved
- Define short- and long-term goals and priorities for the sales team based on strategy and current realities
Sales Target
- Achieve sales targets
- Achieve margin and bottom-line targets
- Measure total sales force cost as ratio to sales
- Keep total sales force cost within pre-determined parameters
- Research, develop and implement a comprehensive and accurate sales forecasting methodology
- Regularly update, manage and report on sales forecast
- Find areas of improvement impacting the bottom line
- Liaise with finance on sales forecast, cash-flow and key financial ratios
Qualifications, Skills-Set & Knowledge Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Technology / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a Higher National Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a Minimum 5 years’ Computer Networking systems industry experience.
- Certification in CCNA, Professional Computer Networking Installation courses

- Training – Ability to teach and impart technology to technical installers and customers.
