Gender Monitoring Office (GMO) is a Public Institution with the mandate to monitor progress towards gender equality and equity with the aim of ensuring that the fundamental principles of Gender Equality are respected in all organs at governmental, private; nongovernmental and religious levels.
GMO would like to recruit a temporal staff:
Work duration: Temporal staff (3 months contract)
Job Title: Gender Advisor
Duties:
-Provide technical advice to the High Monitoring Council (HMC) on issues related to policy and strategy analysis;
-Produce briefing papers, presentations, speeches and reports for the High Monitoring Council;
-Provide technical support and advice to heads of units in relation to gender mainstreaming, international commitments monitoring and fighting against GBV;
-Provide advice on strategic planning, M&E of GMO results in line with national and international development instruments;
-Keep strong linkages and communication between GMO, gender Machinery and Development partners on strategic issues and update the HMC;
-Submit periodical reports to the CGM;
-Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor;
Job Requirements and Particularities:
-Masters/A0 in Development studies, Law, social sciences, gender and other related field
Qualification and Experience of job holder:
-At least 5 years Experience for (Ao) and 3 years for (Masters), in gender and development related issues;
-Sound knowledge of policy analysis;
-Familiarity with gender related international commitments; Working experience with gender machinery and development partners;
