The Company is currently looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager to be based in Nairobi.
Job Description

The Strategic Partnerships Manager will support business development and sales initiatives as the primary point of contact for designated partners.

The company’s strategic alliance/partner network is one of the keys to its success and allows the company to accelerate sales growth.

Key responsibilities for this dynamic role will include:

Strategic Partner Management:

  • Building and managing partner relationships;
  • Qualifying targeted organizations for partner program and advance them through the program;
  • Effectively communicating with partners to ensure understanding of partner program benefits and empowering partners to leverage tools and resources for increasing overall success;
  • Supporting lead generation activities, including development of partner marketing programs, sales tools, and training presentations;
  • Ensuring partner success through proactive issue resolution and coordinating resolution with internal teams to develop solutions;
  • Serving as primary point of contact for designated partners externally and within the company.
Sales and Marketing Support:
  • Conducting formal sales trainings for partners and internal sales organizations on partnership value proposition and sales process;
  • Supporting sales organization’s efforts to successfully engage with partner in joint sales activity;
  • Developing and supporting development of partner-related marketing tools;
  • Identifying, managing, and participating in designated partner-related events and conferences.
Planning:
  • Developing quarterly marketing plans;
  • Conducting periodic reviews with partners to plan, execute and review sales and business development activity;
  • Brainstorming, researching, and consulting with the Directors and other executives to identify new partnerships and programs for driving revenue;
  • Reviewing quarterly plans with Director of Partnerships.
Desired Skills & Experience
Ideal candidates will offer a background including (but not limited to) the following:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree required; major in business, marketing, or technical field

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience with strategic alliance, partner, channel and vendor management;Retail Preferred
  • Proven track record successfully managing multiple concurrent projects in a high growth environment;
  • Verifiable ability to quickly establish rapport and build trust with partners;
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects with strong and consistent follow-through;
