Position: Regional Sales Manager
Reporting to: Chief Mass Market Officer – Western Region
 
Range: R1 L
 
Department: Mass Market

Role Purpose: 

Effective management of all existing mass market sales force within the Area: Direct Sales, Indirect Sales and sometimes Corporate Sales.
Maximize results and profitability of the direct channel (shops) and the indirect channel (partners) and meet the sales targets.

Ensure wide spread distribution and availability of products (SIM, airtime) in the local market, via effective channel management partnerships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
 
1.1  Operational:
  • To achieve the sales targets of the region
  • Cascade the company strategy
  • To ensure the management of the shops and the partners and the corporate sales
  • To ensure that the customer expectations regarding the standard of services and product knowledge are met, both in its own stores (retail) and in partners stores (indirect sales) in order to increase customer base and to secure Orange revenues
  • To maximize the level of sales in the area through permanent operational support offered to Shop Manager / ISR and encouraging initiatives in order to take advantage of the market opportunities. To provide support and to verify the correct implementation of all tenders (merchandising)
  • Participate in the staff recruiting process from shops (shop managers) and indirect sales team.
  • To explore together with Shop Manager and ISR the achievement of the area, the results of questionnaires sent to customers, churn reports, complaints and to develop action plans for improvement.
  • To monitor the activities of competition and to prepare together with Shop Manager and ISR action plans.
  • To ensure interface with other departments and to build relations with them regarding the activity of Orange Shops and a team of indirect sales: Financial Department, Logistics sub-department.
  • To ensure interface with ITN to enhance the quality of the network and the coverage;
  • To ensure that the plan of setting up a new Orange Shop is respected and implemented properly.
 1.2 Preparing Reports:
  • sales reports
  • market reports
  • activity reports
  • performance reports
Academic/ Professional Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or other relevant field (or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years management experience
Other Desirable qualifications:
  • Masters of Business Administration
  • Membership in related professional organizations
  • Certifications accreditation in relevant areas
  • Experience in Telecommunication / ICT industries and good understanding of these services and solutions are preferred
  • Minimum 6-7 years of experience in sales, distribution and customer service and relationship management, including 2-3 years in a similar position
  • Telecom or mobile experience- highly desirable
