Our Client, a fast growing Events & Marketing Company is seeking to recruit a Business Development Executive.

Reports: General Manager

Position Summary: This position builds key relationships with clients and maintains both existing and new business.

The holder must be a strategic and creative planner who identifies opportunities, acquires and develop new businesses that increase revenue generation for the organization.
H/She will provide leadership to team members and oversee all projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Effective management of the marketing, sales, events and promotional activities of the products of different organizations.
  • Acquire new business and maintain excellent client relationships with both existing and new clients.
  • Develop an updated database of all clients.
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future target products
  • Analyze customer research, current market conditions and competitor information for different brands
  • Create relationships with marketing managers to be called in for marketing briefs
  • Interpret a brief; write a creative proposal which will resonate with both the client and the consumer.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
  • Develop product launch campaigns that have never been experienced anywhere
  • Ensure the successful implementation of proposals developed.
  • Expand and develop marketing platforms for different brands
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activities and results on a weekly basis
  • Determine and manage the marketing budget
  • Deliver marketing activities within agreed budget
  • Report on return on investment and key performance metrics of any brand campaign
  • Create marketing presentations that win the hearts of the client and marketing teams
  • Monitor industry best practices

Qualifications and Experience
  • A Business Related Degree
  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing will be an advantage
  • Computing Knowledge (Excellent use of MS-Office Applications)
  • At least 3 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, preferably a Marketing Agency.
