Environment Officer I – J.G ‘J’ Job at the County Government of Siaya

Positions: – 1
Terms of Service: – 3 Year contract or Permanent and Pensionable depending on age of candidate
Responsibilities
- Proactively managing selected environmental projects
- Responsible for supervision of environmental and natural resources contactors
- Responsible for quality assurance and client feedback on progress of environmental and natural resources related programmes and projects
- Responsible for preparation of reports for analysis and approvals by the deputy director and director respectively.
- Responsible for attending meetings and workshops discussing environmental and natural resources management and regulations.
- Assist in decision making an advice on best practices in environmental and natural resources management
- Cary out site visits to assess progress and raise environmental concerns as deemed necessary.
- Assist the Director in assessing and giving views on EIA/A of the projects in the County
- Any other duties assigned by the Deputy Director or any other senior office
Requirements
- BSc in Environmental Engineering/science or higher national diploma with required experience from recognized institution.
- 3 years’ experience in a similar field
- Self-motivated team player
- Proficiency in computer services
- Well versed with environmental and natural resources legislations
- A person with high level of integrity and positive attitudes
- Registered as EIA/A expert will have added advantages
Additional Requirements
