We are currently recruiting in Kenya for our client in Manufacturing sector,
This position will be an individual with advanced skills on infrastructure side of the organization who is capable of both handling the Data Center (Servers) and the Network.
ICT Manager Job Responsibilities
- Good understanding of Sage Pastel evolution ERP
- Ability to program in SQL
- Support the vision, mission and guiding IT principles of the company.
- Evaluate, recommend, enhance ICT security infrastructure and manage access controls
- Consult with management and determine needs for data, computers, communications and software
- Create key decision making process flows with the objective of automating these processes and utilising the in built systems documents within our ERP to enhance internal controls, record and track these decisions.
- Ensure all IT regulatory and legal requirements are adhered to
- Evaluate areas of the business that will benefit from process automation and make recommendations to management. Work with professionals and other providers to successfully implement approved projects. Reduce company costs through automation by increasing productivity and or using automation to reduce wastage.
- Confer with data processing and project managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities of existing system and capabilities required for data processing projects, and evaluation
- Manage and ensure branch and internal connectivity meets the demands of business. Continuously evaluate our needs and solutions being offered by our providers to further enhance our capabilities
- All fixed assets under class Computers will be overseen by you for the purpose of asset verification, maintenance, procurement and disposal
- Manage any external software/ third party integration that the company may require
- Evaluate factors such as number of departments serviced by data processing equipment, reporting formats required, volume of transactions, time requirements and cost constraints
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and system that will provide capability for proposed project or workload and an efficient operation.
- Train users to use new or modified software modules and equipment.
- Evaluate, enhance and manage the implementation of disaster recovery plans in the event of a disaster or emergency that interrupts normal information system operations.
- Work with existing IT Support Company to fully utilise our existing software modules and develop required solutions when required
- Ensure adherence and implementation of the IT policy as per the company’s guidelines.
- Ensure that IT department plays a key role in business support and internal customer service functions in the company’s day to day operations
- Any other ICT and process automation roles given to you by Management
Qualifications for the ICT Manager Job
- Degree in I.T
- 5 years’ experience in ICT
