Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Team Leader – Finance, the Travel Desk Agent will be responsible for the booking of flights, coordinate the entire travel experiences including itineraries, accommodation, transport, visas and travel insurance cover to ensure a smooth journey for travelling SBM staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan travel itineraries, hotel accommodations, insurance and other travel services
• Attend to inquiries and reservations from the different Divisions
• Issue Tickets, process refunds, and all relevant documentation as and when requested by Management
• Prepare and give accurate fare quotes within a time frame of 24 hours
• Liaise with all airlines to clear waitlists, update queries, confirm reservations among others
• Assist with changes to travel arrangements and booking where required
• Effectively deal with complaints and feedback
• Advise travelers about all relevant information in connection with travelling

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• HSC Holder, Diploma in Travel/Tourism or any relevant field will be an advantage
• IATA qualified
• Well conversant with Microsoft office tools
• Ability to work autonomously well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
