Job Vacancy: Accountant
Job Description
- Handling all financial and cost accounting roles including filling of taxes and other deductions
- Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations
- Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
- Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow
- Review payment vouchers & journal entries
- Review all purchases requests and invoices
- Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
- Issue project cost reports for review and approval.
- Maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
- Perform any other assigned role
Entry Requirements
- CPA finalist or CPA (K) holder
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications especially Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Internet
- Should have Tax computation skills
- Proficiency in use of QuickBooks in accounting is a MUST
- Have at least 3 years experience in the same capacity in a busy private firm.
- Have proven experience in preparing narrative reports, financial analysis and management accounts
- Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Salary: Kshs. 20,000 – 25,000
