- Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations and prepare all necessary reports including but not limited to income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements, budget performance.
- Administer all payroll activities – Ensuring that the payroll exercise satisfies legal obligations and internal audit requirements.
- Liaise with all statutory bodies including but not limited to KRA and NSSF, to ensure company is properly filing its returns.
- Ensure proper controls are in place to administer day-to-day finances
- Maintain all financial records and files as per the company policies
- Sales invoicing & postings
- Administer payment of bills, invoices and staff expense claims
- Assist in preparation of year-end audit and liaise with external accounting firm to submit to proper authorities
- Bank reconciliation – daily routine (Receipts)
- Close management and monitoring of major control accounts (Staff Advances, Accounts Receivables /Payables, etc.)
- Inventory management and control
- Responsible for acquiring shipping quotes and export procedures for the sales team
- Manage logistics operations in order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of customer orders
- Support procurement processes
- Maintain inventory of office stationery
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- A university degree in finance related field or Accountancy professional qualification i.e. completed ACCA or CPA (K);
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively, with excellent time management
- Mastery of English with excellent command of the language, both written and oral
- Understanding of and experience in using Quick Books.
- Complete familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Flexibility with shifting priorities and competing demands in a fast-paced, challenging work environment
