Job Vacancy: Fire Alarm Technician
Reports to: Project Engineer
Department: Control and life safety
Job Purpose: He should able to do independently pipe fitting for firefighting works as per shop drawing provided to him by Piping Foreman.
Key Accountabilities: Specify the output required from the job. Identify not more than 7 Key Accountabilities & their performance indicators. NB-Focus on outcomes not tasks
Description Performance Indicators
- Should be able to read individual service drawings as well as coordination drawing.
- Should be able to understand the type of fire alarm system, accessories and cabling/conduiting works.
- Cabling and control panel dressing, equipment installation
- Testing and commissioning of fire alarm and emergency lighting system.
- Maintenance and trouble shooting of fire alarm and emergency lighting system.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- 2 year course in ITI as fire alarm/electrician or equivalent
- Minimum Experience 5 years ? Civil defense technician approval
- Knowledge of UAE fire code Job-Specific Skills:
- Installation – Installing equipment, wiring, and testing.
- Equipment Maintenance – Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Behavioural Competencies :
