Statistical Assistant, Population and Social Statistics at Amisol

Our client is a corporate body established under the Statistics Act (2006) and is the principal Government agency responsible for the collection, compilation, analysis, publication and dissemination of official statistical information and its custody. The client also oversees the coordination, supervision and development of programmes
within the National Statistical System.

The client is seeking highly experienced and self-driven individuals with strong business acumen and strategic minds to competitively fill the position below:

Job Title: Statistical Assistant, Population and Social Statistics (Level 7)

No. of Posts: 25

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Senior Officer, Population Statistics / County Statistical Officer, the Statistical Assistant will be assisting in the implementation of county activities.

Statistical Assistant Job Responsibilities

• Collecting Data;
• Preparing data summaries;
• Data entry and editing;
• Preparing Field Survey Reports;
• Any other duties assigned by the County Statistical Officer.

Qualifications for the Statistical Assistant Job

• Must have a Diploma in Statistics, Economics or related qualification from a recognized institution OR: Certificate in Statistics from a recognized institution with 3 (three)
• years progressive track record in statistical work in a public or a key private sector institution;
• Must possess basic computer skills;
• Must have good communication and inter personal skills;
• Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment;
• Must meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
