Our client, a regional distributor for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic brands, is seeking to recruit a highly ambitious candidate to fill in the following position in their Nairobi office:
Stock Controller (Temporary – 4 months)
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Stock Controller is responsible for maintaining the stock levels within the budget set by the business and sustain store standards
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are accurately maintained within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner
- Manage a defined area in the stores which include damaged and un-saleable goods
- Route mapping for the drivers to ensure effective delivery
- Effectively coordinate with other team members on ordering process, communicating in advance available and unavailable stocks
- Observe correct stock receiving protocols at the point of delivering goods and when receiving goods from suppliers
- Maintain the store room and the allocation of space for stock
- Consistently deliver customer service in accordance with our customer service standards and complete all necessary stock takes weekly
- Maintain good working relationships with your Manager and your peers
- Weekly stock takes and reconciliations, send daily stock issues/ receipt to Accountant
- Advise on stock- outs a week in advance and communicate for LPO Processing
- Ensure order – processing procedures are strictly followed
- Manage KRA Stickers for the goods in the store
- Supervise goods in and out process
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A holder of a Degree/Diploma in Purchasing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- More than 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Computer Skills –Purchasing, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills – both oral and written
- Highly developed teamwork skills – ability to work with others and embrace team work
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches and departmental contribution – commitment to continuous learning
