A leading institution in the Eastern Africa region is seeking to recruit a well qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Finance Director.

About The Job: This is a top level position reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The successful candidate’s primary role is to ensure that the institution’s finances are collected, used and invested in a prudent way to meet not only recurrent but also future needs.
He/she will provide effective leadership to a large team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies relating to overall financial management of the institution;
- Monitor and manage the financial health of the institution;
- Oversee the preparation and production of timely and accurate sets of accounts;
- Provide leadership in treasury management and ensuring that funds are optimally deployed;
- Ensure that there are adequate internal controls in place and that these are being complied with;
- Brief the CEO and the board of directors as required;
- Coordinate the preparation and presentation of annual budgets & plans and once approved their implementation.
- Provide effective leadership and motivation of staff to render a superior service at all times.
Qualifications, Experience and Other Requirements:
- Should hold a university degree preferably a masters;
- Should be a qualified accountant CPA, ACCA etc
- Should have at least10 years post graduation experience
- Should have headed the finance function for at least three years;
- Have proven analytical, problem solving and communication skills;
- Able to get a large team to work together
- Have excellent understanding of the role of ICT in finance and accounting.
