Job Title: Human Resources Information Systems Intern (HRIS) Intern

Key Areas of Accountability:
- Responsible for maintenance and usage of the HRIS system in the region. Specifically: supporting users; driving data quality; liaising with the IT department on technical issues; and identifying practical solutions and workarounds to keep the system running efficiently and meeting SCI core needs.
- Run reports and provide data to enable informed HR and business decision-making.
- Work with the Regional Office HR Coordinator to update all employee data on HRIS.
- Ensure data confidentiality at all times and escalate any concerns to the HRIS Officer immediately. Since data, concerning children and young people may be maintained on parts of the system, exercise special care in relation to this data including who has access to the data and any requests for reports from the system regarding children and young people (this includes dependents of international staff).
- Assist in HR administration as needed

- Educated to degree level in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Solid skills in Microsoft applications especially Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or 2013
- Good understanding and at least 1-year experience working with HR processes and practices including the administration of recruitment and on boarding processes is an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to colleagues at all levels
- Demonstrable ability to influence others, to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures; and to act with credibility, tact and diplomacy
- Commitment to upholding Save the Children values, Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding Policy and Practice.
