Global Platform Facilitator
Location: Nanyuki
Contract Duration: 2 years
The job holder will be responsible to develop, conduct and organize trainings at the Global Platform, including Global Volunteer, Global Health, Global Intern, Global Citizens College, Toolbox courses, Training of Facilitators and Youth Forums for local youth.
The Job holder will oversee development sessions for the various courses at the platform within the areas of voluntarism, democracy, human rights based approach and political systems.
The person will facilitate and maintain relationships with partners and arrange excursions with them.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Development of training manuals, course scripts and detailed evaluations of each course, contributing to the development of Training4Change’s courses and methodologies.
- Develop innovative concepts for youth engagement at the Global Platform in accordance with local and international needs.
- Mutual teamwork with co-facilitators.
- Provide administrative and practical tasks related to the running courses.
- Provide round the clock support to course participants.
- Developing training content and conduct sessions for the Global Contact trainings taking into concern how to make it participatory with a strong linkage to the surrounding community and the flow of the course.
- Continuously evaluate and amend the teaching schedule and teaching methods, so as to ensure professional development.
- Conduct induction for the participants on the rules and regulations of the Platform with the participants.
Qualifications
Appointment to the position will be made from persons who have:
- Minimum education of undergraduate degree in Social Work or a related field from a recognized University;
- At least 2-3 years working experience.
- Experience in conducting training and development of participatory training courses.
- Experience in working with and promoting Social Justice.
- Experience with activism, advocacy work, campaigning and lobbyism.
- Demonstrated work with youth empowerment and capacity building of youth groups.
- Experience from working with people from different countries is an advantage.

- Excellent computer skills;

- Should have both oral and written communication skills including good facilitation skills.
