Job Title: Territory Officer – DTH Sales
Location: Kenya
 
Position Reporting to: Territory Manager

Job Purpose / Summary: Support the functions of the Territory Manager.

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned territory.
Offer directives to all partners across the distribution channel and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.

Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for Channel Partners
Key Roles:
  • Execute business plans and sales strategies for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Channel Partners, which includes, Retailers, Dealers, Agents, Resellers and Installers.
  • Prepare action plans for and in conjunction with individual resellers as well as by overall channel for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Execute trade marketing activities with channel partners aimed at creating awareness including road shows, trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Responsible for ensuring that the brand is visible and positively resonates with the public through BTL presentations within their assigned territory, including, posters, banners, product display, shop branding and any other assigned BTL material.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding market activity.
  • Provides timely and accurate market reports including competitor activity.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the channel.
  • Recommends the replacement, recruitment or upgrading of Dealers, Agents and Resellers based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
Relationships and Roles:

Internal / External Cooperation

  • Ensures that all Distribution Channels meet or exceed all activity standards for sales and market awareness.
  • Organizes in conjunction with the partners trade marketing activities
  • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Resellers and Distributors to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with both internal and external customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration or related field
  • Sales & Marketing Professional certification
  • At least 2yrs of progressive sales experience in FMCG or Telkom industry
  • Performance driven with initiative to assess complex situations and make decisions quickly and effectively and deliver excellent customer service
  • Integrity and ability to take ownership and empower others accordingly
