The Portfolio Manager has to be well organized and involved, especially during the induction period, in order to quickly be in command of the position and its tasks.
Understanding very well the organization, process and business, and having good anticipation skills in order to optimize the portfolio management.
An interesting potential in management has to be considered in the profile in order to facilitate internal communication, external communication and probable development of the department.
Main missions and tasks:
- Monitoring the Company’s portfolio in terms of follow up on clients payments
- Managing collection of clients installments
- Managing portfolio of facilities under litigation in line with the risk policy of the group, internal procedures and Kenyan law
- Advising the company on legal matters
- Managing the relationship with external parties such as lawyers, bailiffs, auctioneer etc.
- Implementing write-offs, in conjunction with Management as well managing non recoverable provisions
- Preparing monthly recoveries and portfolio reports
Other abilities: Know how to use IT tools, database.
