Kokuro Livestock Marketing Association (Kokuro LMA) group informally started in 2012.
The group was fully registered with the ministry of Gender social development services as a LMA under the Livestock traders Act {cap 378} and issued with a certificate of registration dated September 2012.
The certificate for the LMA covers landing sites on Four areas i.e. Sasame, kokuro, meyan and liwan.
The LMA has 150 registered members to date and actively interacts with many more unregistered members
Position: Enterprise Manager
Location: Kokuro.
Duration: 1 year and 3month with possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funds.
Report to: Kokuro LMA.
Summary of duties and responsibilities
The Enterprise manager will:
- oversee the all LMA association and ADF projects activities
- Play the role of contact person for the donor, partner, all staff, stakeholder and the beneficiary community.
- Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor and kokuro LMA.
- Be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables and action points, planning ,budgeting and monitoring processes .
- Responsible for submitting activity reports, disbursement request and quarterly report on regular basis to the donor.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of annual activity-based project budget as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sharing with donor ,partner and the board.
- Lead and motivate the project team ,monitor project activities and expenditure ,coordinate work with consultant and volunteer in the project .
- Ensure close collaboration and coordination with cooperation partner for smooth implementation of activities and achievement of result as specified in the grant agreement .
- Employs resourcefulness in project design, implementation monitoring.
- Facilitate operations on a day to day basis.
- Designing project sustainability concepts and proposals and spearheading the pursuit of requisite resources.
- Spearheading constant project development initiative for kokuro lma.
- Conducting any other business as may be in the interests of kokuro lma and kokuro lma donors
- Acts as an accounting officer in the project.
Qualifications To Be An Enterprise Manager
- Diploma / Degree in business management and administration or /project management or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Must be computer literate
- Working experience in an NGO will be an added advantage
- Minimum of three years experience in the relevant field.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to meet the stipulated deadlines.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English/Kiswahili.
- Must have an accounting idea.
