The Commission on Administrative Justice (Office of The Ombudsman) is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 59 (4) and Chapter Fifteen of the Constitution, and the Commission on Administrative Justice Act, 2011.

Human Resource & Administration Manager
Reporting To: Director, Finance & Administration

Key Responsibilities
 
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
Under the direct supervision of Director Finance & Administration will undertake the following tasks:
  • Supervising the Human Resource management functions at the Commission;
  • Establishing and managing an effective Human Resource Management system;
  • Coordinating the development and implementation of the Commission’s performance management system;
  • Formulating and overseeing implementation of human resource policies and strategies;
  • Ensure compliance with the labour laws;
  • Coordination of staff training and skills development;
  • Managing the Commission’s reward system;
  • Coordinating general staff welfare issues including staff medical scheme and insurance;
  • Coordinating of the Commission’s general office administration;
  • Undertaking manpower planning based on future organizational needs as well as succession planning;
  • Undertaking recruitment & selection of employees.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this position, a candidate must:-
  • Have served for at least five (5) years in the Human Resource & Administration;
  • Have a Bachelors degree in any of the following Social Sciences; Sociology, Economics, Human Resource Management among others from a recognized University;
  • Have a Masters degree in any of the following Social Sciences; Sociology, Economics, Human Resource Management among others from a recognized University;
  • Have a Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized Institution;
  • Have proven leadership and supervisory experience;
  • Have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills;
  • Be fluent both in English and Kiswahili;
  • Must meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution
  • Be a citizen of Kenya
