Job Location: Nairobi
She/he will work with a caseload of several clients, building up long-term relationships with them.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
- Sell insurance policies to potential clients.
- Help individuals, businesses, and families select the most appropriate policies for life, investment, health, disability, property and long term care insurance.
- Offer property and casualty, life, health, disability, and long-term care insurance.
- Advise clients on how to minimize risk.
- Advise clients on retirement planning, estate planning, and also provide assistance in setting up pension plans for businesses.
- Sell investment funds and annuities.
- Seek out leads and new clients.
- Maintain reports and records of insurance policies.
- Must be well versed in finance, investments and industry trends.
- Maintain regular contact with clients and ensuring that the Elite Customer Service Standards are maintained.
- Answer questions and make changes to existing policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree; Essential
- CIM/MSK Diploma (Marketing); Desirable
- Over 5 years industry experience in insurance; Essential
- Track record of contributions made to past employers with evidence of targets met; Essential
- Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Speaking — Talking to others to convey information clearly and effectively.
