As the DMPC Sales Engineer you will be responsible for the Sales functions / turnover especially in the UPS and power conditioning equipment, variable speed drives and also for the complete product portfolio of ABB discrete automation and motion Product offering in Kenya.
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the overall tasks listed and located in Kenya so as to ensure achievement of the set performance target.

Tasks

  • Should have competent technical knowledge and understanding of ABBs DM products (UPS and power conditioning equipment, variable speed drives, PLC, Motors and Generators,).
  • Should have sound knowledge of various industrial segment and industrial application.
  • Adopting hands on approach towards establishing and developing excellent relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Provide technical & sales support to channel partners and end users.
  • Good presentation & interpersonal skills with customers / clients / Consultants.
  • Willing to travel extensively, to visit clients
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements. Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs. Administering client accounts
  • Calculating client quotations, Negotiating tender and contract terms, closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
  • Meeting monthly sales targets, Prepare sales reports, Recording and maintaining client contact data.
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client requirements
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and logistics etc.
Requirements
You will possess the following competencies :
  • In possession of bachelors of Electrical Engineering.
  • Team leader of FES, reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Must be well organized and able to work under pressure, use initiative and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills (planning, prioritizing, follow up)
  • Capable of communicating and operating on all levels
  • Function well in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • UPS, Variable speed drives) Induction motor.
  • PC literate — MS Office
  • Technical knowledge
  • 7 – 10 years’ experience in sales & marketing of UPS.
