RCMRD wishes to fill the following vacant position:
Resource Mobilisation Specialist
RCMRD is implementing SERVIR-East and Southern Africa Program, which is a joint development initiative of NASA and USAID connecting space to village by making geospatial information and predictive models useful to developing countries.
We wish to fill the position of Resource Mobilisation Expert on Consultancy terms for the SERVIR-E&SA Africa program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading the development of a resource mobilization strategy and plan for the 2015-2018 period that will target USAID and other development partners for RCMRD to continue providing the services and strengthening the capacities developed and enhanced under the SERVIR Program.
- Managing the process of developing a strategic pipeline of USAID new business opportunities, including engaging relevant technical staff for inputs, convening discussions with senior management to prioritize potential opportunities, and meeting with missions/programs, partners, etc.
- Supporting the implementation of the resource mobilization plan for priority donors and market segments, including coordinating the administrative, logistical and day-to-day activities of multiple new business efforts
- Master’s degree in International Development, Marketing, or Business; and
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in marketing, new business, or proposal management for USAID or other donor program; or
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Marketing, or Business; and minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in marketing, new business, or proposal management for USAID or other donor programs;
- Solid understanding of the USAID international development industry;
- Kenyan citizenship or other eligibility to work in Kenya
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills in English is crucial.
- Ability to articulate with strong presentation skills and to contribute to executive-level discourse
