Dairy Farm Supervisor
Location: Embu County
Job Summary: A medium sized Intensive diary farm in Embu with a herd size of 30 High potential Dairy cows has experienced significant growth and requires a farm supervisor to oversee the operations, growth and profitability of the farm.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have at a minimum ”O” Level education Grade C and at least a certificate in agriculture from a reputable institution and at-least 2 years relevant work experience.
Computer literacy and good record keeping knowledge is a must.
A Clean valid driving license with at least 3 years experience will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for achieving key performance indicators including but not limited to Milk production planning, animal health, breeding and fertility programme, Stock replacement, Pasture / Forage production and Nutrition management.
The role will also supervise fodder production in a 25 acre farm to ensure timely planting, management and harvesting of fodder crops to meet internal demand.
Salary Kshs 15,000 -20,000 and an attractive performance based annual bonus
