Location: Kibera
Reports to: Program Manager
Scope: Part time
Contract Type: Fixed Term
Job Purpose: The role of the Project Coordinator is to ensure that all aspects of project administration, personnel management, finance and logistics are contributing to the success of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responding to enquiries relating to SOF in terms of client’s requirements
- Coordinating with the project beneficiaries and ensure adherence to SHOFCO and grant policies and procedures
- Oversee the execution of grant implementation and provide direct supervision and support to program managers, including implementation of program activities at the site
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule
- Ensure adherence to project deadlines and monitoring and evaluation plans that feed into larger evaluation efforts
- Responsible to track project changes and produces updated schedule
- Conduct regular supervisory visits
- Collect relevant project data;
- In charge of performance and program growth according to the SOF approved plans
- Compile reports of findings of the need assessment and Interaction with project partners:
- Performing other related duties as may be assigned.
- Maintain data integrity through accurate entries and data management
- Project management experience and community mobilization
- Administration skills i.e. Administer overall grant, including associated progress reporting and budget management (including expenditure tracking)
- Must be computer literate.
- Be able to work with people of diverse ethnic backgrounds.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships
- University degree (international development, social work, or other relevant degree)
- Minimum of three years management experience in international relief and/or development programmes
- Excellent program management, budget management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Fluent Swahili and English written and verbal communication skills
- Able to use MS Office
- Comfortable working in Kibera, Nairobi
