We are currently managing over KES 100 Billion worth of assets in Kenya providing fund management services to retirement benefit schemes, endowments, trust funds, corporate entities and individuals.

In line with the growing business demands, we are looking for qualified and talented individuals to fill

the following position within the Old Mutual Investment Group.


Portfolio Manager – 2 Positions

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer this is a dynamic and quite exciting position whose core mandate is business growth and profitability, customer value creation and retention through investment strategy implementation. 
The main duties and responsibilities include: –
  • Implement investment strategies encompassing asset allocation and security selection for different asset classes.
  • Ensure client portfolios are aligned to the stated investment view and adhere to client mandates.
  • Manage portfolio risks, regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies.
  • Achieve out-performance against agreed return benchmarks for the assigned portfolios.
  • Research and present new and viable investment opportunities.
  • First line of conduct for the assigned portfolio to improve on client engagement, relationship, retention and value generation.
  • Evaluate, monitor and prepare reports on investment performance.
  • Conduct research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
  • Management of the various stakeholders. Support commercial client engagement and retention activities.
  • Any other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree Post graduate qualifications with a bias to Investments desirable.
  • Those who have completed or pursuing CFA qualifications will have an added advantage.
  • At least three years (3) investment experience in reputable investment firm, with a proven track record of successfully managing diverse client portfolios while delivering superior returns.
  • Experience in managing private wealth portfolios desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • High integrity and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence internal and external audiences.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization and problem solving skills.
