We are a leading Oil and Gas Multinational with a Pan African outlook.
Our Kenyan affiliate supplies and distributes the oil and gas products needed by consumers, industry and maritime operations in Kenya and the great lakes region.
We are currently establishing our retail network and are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused individual to manage and lead the retail function to enhance market growth and profitability.

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Business Development Manager the role of this position shall be to provide supervision and manage the company’s retail outlets, in addition to growing and developing the Retail Network. 

The position shall also be directly responsible for service excellence and customer satisfaction at the company’s retail network point -of- sale


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the company’s retail function in Kenya.
  • Effectively manage customer accounts and maintain high standards of customer relationships
  • Plan, locate and set up new stations including station layout within the parameters of the approved standard floor plan in close collaboration with senior management.
  • Carry out continual market intelligence and analysis to identify market opportunities.
  • Champion development of first class forecourt customer service, cost effective sales promotion plans.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales and distribution reports on management on each station’s performance in terms of profitability, potential growth and recommended appropriate actions depending on findings.
  • Constructively handle customer complaints and compliments.
  • Enforce good management of credit where applicable to ensure customers operate within limit and timely collections.
  • Enforce compliance of HSE, operational procedures and regulations.
  • Organize co-ordinate and review impact of sales promotion and campaigns
  • Monitor adherence to best practice in stock management through thorough wet-stock management and ensure compliance to fuel supply exclusivity by the dealers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business, Sciences or Economics. Professional qualifications in marketing and or Masters in Business or related fields will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum three years hands-on experience in management and running of petroleum retail outlets
  • Commercial awareness and capacity to thrive in a competitive environment
  • Strong sales management skills
  • Strong negotiations and leadership skills
  • Aggressive, self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • General knowledge in property acquisition & negotiation
  • Clean Driving License
