Our client is a grower of fresh produce with their main crops being; cabbage, frenchbeans, babycorn and potatoes.
They seek to hire a production manager.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of Crop Production
- Manage a team of skilled and casual labour on the farm
- Hire, supervise and terminate farm employees as per the business needs and budget
- Manage and oversee all greenhouses and their proper use
- Communicate with the Managing Director on a daily basis in order to prepare and plan tasks.
- Plan, implement, and complete daily and long term farm production tasks
- Ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines for all employees
- Manage and oversee activities delegated to farm mechanics
- Ensure farm machinery and implements are well used and maintained
- Identify and resolve problems and potential problems
- Liaising with extension services and suppliers
Requirements:
- Min Degree/ Higher Diploma in Agriculture/ Crop Production
- Minimum 5 years experience in Managing a Crop Production Farm
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Team player and able to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible and good planning and organization skills
- Good time management skills
- Integrity
