Our Client, a leading provider of power back up (UPS) and (PBS), power protection and solar systems seeks to recruit an electrician.
The ideal candidate must have handled a similar position in Electronics and know how to install backups e.g. batteries, solar panels, solar lanterns, solar water heaters and generators.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Disassembling appliances so that problems can be diagnosed and repairs can be made
- Servicing and repairing domestic electrical appliances
- Replacing worn and defective parts such as charge controllers, solar lanterns, solar panels
- Reassembling units after repairs are made, making adjustments, cleaning and lubricating parts as needed
- Recording maintenance and repair work performed on appliances
- Maintaining stocks of parts used in on-site installation, maintenance, repair of appliances and providing relevant cost estimates
- Observing and examining appliances during operation to detect specific malfunctions such as loose parts or leaking fluid
- Observing and testing operation of appliances following installation and making any initial installation adjustments that are necessary
- Instructing customers regarding operation and care of appliances and providing necessary information such as emergency service numbers
Skills and Qualification Required
- Diploma in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or any other related field
- Excellent Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- MUST have handled a similar position in the same industry
- A minimum of 2 years experience
- Ability to work in a team
