Dairy Factory Production Manager
Industry: Dairy Processing / Milk
Location: Nairobi
Salary: Ksh 80,000 gross
Our client is a start up in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry dealing with milk products.
They seek to hire a Production Manager.
The main role being to run the entire production department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Running the dairy processing plant from reception of raw materials to finished goods
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources;
- Maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
- Ensure adherence to HACCP and GMP guidelines
- Quality Control Supervision
- Control of Factory Staff and allocation of duties on a daily basis
- Daily Production Planning
- Supervision and Maintenance of the complete Plant & Machinery
- Cost Control in relation to Power & Other Production Costs
- Taking part in New Product Development
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science/ Engineering/ Technology in Mechanical/Production/Chemical Engineering
- Additional Professional qualifications are an added advantage
- Minimum of four (4) years experience in production supervision
- Experience in production in a dairy/ beverage plant
- Good mathematical skills.
- Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with team building techniques
- Excellent knowledge of all facets of plastics production/manufacture
- Knowledge of Utility Equipments
- Knowledge in manufacture of plastic products preferred
- Excellent computer skills
