Our client, Africa’s leading manufacturing company with innovative engineers of world-class brands in Oil, Fuel, Hydraulic and Air Filters, seeks to recruit a Depot Administrator.
The ideal candidate will be responsible to manage, oversee and head the overall depot to a professional sales outfit and to maintain and improve company image.
He/ she will perform Accounting, Audits, Human Resource/Administration, Sales Stores and Inventory
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Banking the daily cash and cheques received.
- Debtors control- Monitor on credit limits and follow up on the payments
- Achieve 5S of Kaizen – Sort, Standardize, Simplify, Straighten and Systemize
- Ensure that HR procedures and company policies are followed by all staff.
- Counter sales, customer service and customer satisfaction
- Send supplier invoices as per company policies offer due diligence to invoices.
- Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, tactics and pricing
- Provide fast, planned, efficient and prompt deliveries to customers or other depots within a time frame of 48 hours.
- Ensure all goods arriving into the depot should be accompanied with correct documents / paper work and added to stock in the shortest time possible.
Professional Skills and Competencies
- A Diploma or Degree in business related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a depot administrative position.
- Honest and able to work with minimum supervision.
- PC proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Kaizen.
- Excellent written, oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented individual.
- Ability to develop strategies and action plans for new opportunities, products and markets.
