Assistant Branch Manager Job at Living Goods in Kariobangi Nairobi Kenya 25th June 2014
We’re searching for an individual who is passionate about enabling micro-entrepreneurs to be successful through new and innovative ways.
This position is based in the Living Goods Kariobangi Office with 20-40% travel to other locations in Kenya to explore and develop Living Goods’ business.
- Drive Sales: Work as a member of the Branch team to ensure all agents meet or exceed all sales targets through observing market trends and adapting sales tactics to fluctuations, and implementing marketing and promotional efforts to support agent goals. Build strong community relations that increase sales and trust of Living Goods products.
- Collaborate with Partners: Identify and establish relations with corporate sales leads, credit groups, and other new opportunities for new distribution channels (other organizations, MFIs, franchises, specialist distributors and other opportunities for direct sales.)
- Support Branch Operations: Assist Branch Manager in ensuring that branch operations are running smoothly, including assisting with inventory and financial operations, as well as testing and promoting new products.
- Recruit, Support and Motivate Agents: Recruit, train and manage direct sales agents to be high performers through building agent capacity and ensuring all agents are maintaining target inventory levels month to month.
- Collaborate with the Kenya Office: Pilot new methods and programs designed by colleagues in the Sales Innovation Team to increase productivity and impact, while providing feedback from the field in order to assist countrywide strategies in driving sales.
- Degree in Business or related field.
- 3-5 years experience with exceptional track record in sales or micro-finance or multi-level marketing.
- Experience managing products or inventory.
- Experience managing a sales team or field force.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive for results.
- Exceptional natural teacher, strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Kiswahili.
