With a headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya and project support offices in Ethiopia, Moldova, and the US, Kimetrica employs 60 full-time professional staff and an extensive network of sector specialists with expertise ranging from early warning and contingency planning to social protection and research and data analysis.
Key Tasks
- End to End and Unit Testing on software components and features, for reliability and efficiency.
- Recording system bugs for the Quality assurance and development teams to track and address respectively.
- Produce overall testing reports for Project managers and the QA team.
- Preparation of software quality test plans and project related test deliverables on each software component whilst demonstrating practical user test cases.
- Advice on software Security and Performance i.e. Load and stress testing procedures and reviewing security mechanisms in place.
- Provide information that will enhance overall system Usability, system Guidance and the user interface for all systems.
Required qualifications
- A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT or close equivalent
- Knowledge on Agile software development
- Experience with bug tracking systems (Open source) and familiarity with software development lifecycles
- Excellent English skills
Desirable qualifications, skills and abilities
- 2 years or more experience in testing and/or software development and software quality assurance.
- Experience in developing testing methodologies and test plans.
- Ability to analyze data and interpret the results.
