Position: New Product Development Officer
JOB PURPOSE
The New Product Development Officer is responsible for researching, developing, and launching new products for Tigo Rwanda and responding to company initiatives by driving new products to meet customer needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and understand consumer needs to identify product opportunities, especially on products within mobile financial services.
- Draft product process and procedures for assigned products to ensure that a product launch is smooth and successful.
- Identify and manage business partners who can make use of Tigo Cash as a payment platform and develop new products according to their needs.
- Manage relationships with new bill companies.
- Assist New Product Manager in developing and launching new products with close liaison with departments such as commercial, marketing, sales, IT and customer service
- Maintain Market intelligence on different markets
- Conceptualize, develop, and assist in launching assigned new products
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in business, finance, commerce or related discipline
- Experience in consumer product management or product development roles in retail/financial services
- Capacity for strategic thinking
- Strong numerical and analytical thinking
- Skills in planning, organizing, project management and decision making
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Influencing and relationship building skills
