Vacancy: Credit (Case) Manager
Purpose of the Position: Reporting to the Finance Director, the purpose of this position is to glorify God through the management of the patients’ admissions and discharges processes and profiling of needy and deserving patients in a Christ-like manner.

Summary of the Role:
The incumbent will be tasked with the following roles:
Admissions Planning – In this role, the incumbent will organize the admission process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. This includes advising patients and relatives of the processes of meeting their hospitalization cost and funding options such as NHIF, OBA and other available mechanisms.

Patients Profiling – the holder of this position will be responsible for the screening of patients in terms of their ability to pay and advising the medical staff about a patient’s ability or inability to pay deposits/payments. Additionally, the other main role is profiling of patients to assess those that deserve support and link them to the relevant and available support or donors.

Discharge Planning – this role involves establishing the need for patients to have credit extended to them.  This includes proper record keeping and face-to-face interactions with the clients, and other parties involved. The incumbent is also expected to anticipate “bad debts” situations for the hospital.
 
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • A mature Christian with evidence to be able to lead a team in both spiritually and in technical issues as well as tackle sensitive matters in a mature and godly manner. 
  • Degree in a business related field. A Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, Credit Management and or Banking would be a definite advantage.
  • A minimum of five years experience in a similar position or related experience. 
  • Very strong relational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written). Ability to effectively communicate in English and Swahili is a must.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • A critical thinker and one who is able to think on his/her feet.
  • Good working knowledge on the use of personal computers, MS Office and ability to develop reports for donor and stakeholders consumption.
