Our client, a fast growing microfinance institution is in the process of growing the government and private payroll portfolio wishes to recruit self-motivated and result oriented head of consumer division.
This is a senior position responsible for consumer loan book growth for both public and private employees in Kenya. The position is based in Nairobi with travel across Kenya. The position shall deliver the budget and provide effective supervision of all sales staff across Kenya.
Other specific roles and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the current business relationships with various ministries, Counties, Branch offices, private corporate and other stakeholders.
- Develop a sales strategy for the market and ensures attainment of set targets and profitability.
- Monitor daily progress towards financial self-sufficiency through Sales Agents productivity; design interventions and adjust policies to improve performance and outreach of the consumer lending product.
- Ensure services delivered are consistently supported by well documented policies and procedures, well understood by all staff and process maps are developed to ensure efficiency.
- Provide capacity building support to all staff in consumer division.
- Engage all stakeholders frequently
- Be the custodian of the public and private payroll lending policy and procedure.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree/ Diploma from a recognized institution in business or related fields.
- At least 8+ years of work experience in sales with 3+ years in senior position in Government payroll lending.
- Supervised sales agents across Kenya.
- Good trainer who has trained sales agents.
- Flexible person who enjoys travelling across the country
- Team player with diverse leadership skills gained in financial services
- Ability to work with a dynamic and multicultural team
- Go getter able to fit in a dynamic and growing microfinance institution.
