Recruitment as Member to County Policing Authority
Pursuant to Section 41(1)(2) of the national Police Service Act of 2011, the County Public Service Board of Nyandarua hereby invites applications from suitable candidates to be recruited as Members of County Policing Authority.
Qualified citizens of Nyandarua County to represent the following Six Categories are invited to apply:

  • Business Sector
  • Community Based Organization
  • Women
  • Persons with special needs
  • Religious Organizations; and
  • Youth
Requirements for Appointment
  • Hold a minimum of KCSE or equivalent
  • Person of known good character and integrity in the community
  • Has good organization skills and have passion for good governance
  • A strategist who will ensure designed goals are implemented successfully
  • Candidate must meet all the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
  • Has minimum 5 years experience in public affairs.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend County policing authority meetings
  • Assist in designing strategies to minimize crime rate in the County
  • Play a lead role in participatory planning and civic education
  • Inculcate ideals of Article 10 of the Constitution of Kenya to the citizens
  • Work closely with other arms of the National and County Governments in addressing topical issues that concern security matters e.g. alcohol and drug abuse
  • Disseminate timely information to the public on security matters
  • Institutionalize effective Community Policing and Nyumba Kumi initiatives
Conditions of Application and Service
Applications should be accompanied with current Curriculum Vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, national identity, Clearance Certificates to conform with Chapter Six i.e. Good Conduct, Credit Reference Bureau, Higher Education Loans Board, Kenya Revenue Authority Tax Compliance.
