Duties and Responsibilities
– Responsible to the board of directors in discharging his/her duties as chief executive of CAMARTEC.
– Shall provide effective leadership in the planning and implementation of
– CAMARTEC`S strategic plan to ensure realization of the vision and achievement of the mission of the same.
– Shall ensure timely implementation of the resolutions and directives of the board of directors.
– Shall be an effective accounting officer of CAMARTEC.
– Shall be the chief spokesman of CAMARTEC.
– Shall be the secretary of the board of directors.
– Shall ensure teamwork and harmonious working relationship among CAMARTEC workers.

Qualifications and Experiences:
PhD degree from a recognized university with:
– Basic training in agricultural or mechanical or process engineering
– Additional training in management will be an advantage
– An overall work experience of 10 years with minimum of 5 years in a senior management position.
OR
Master degree from a recognized university with:
– Basic training either in agricultural or mechanical or process engineering
– Additional training in management will be an advantage
– An overall work experience of 15 years with minimum of ten years in a senior management position.
– Research experience in a university or rural development institution with a minimum of ten scientific and or technological publications,
– Thorough understanding of rural development generally, and the roles of rural development institution in addressing the needs and problems of the society and industry,
– Excellent and proven managerial and leadership ability,
– Excellent interpersonal skills and public relations,
– Proven ability to mobilize fund from various sources, ? Proven ability to efficiently and effectively manage fund and other resources for the benefit of CAMARTEC and the nation,
– Dedication and ability to mentor and groom the younger generation to became responsive and responsible researchers and research manager,
– Command of respects within CAMARTEC and among stakeholders.

Terms of Employment:
Five years renewable contract upon satisfactory performance.

Remuneration:
Attractive salary with fringe benefits that includes transport, housing, and others as benefits the position of Director General. Additional rewards to be determined by the board of directors will accrue to the Director General as the performance of organization improves as a direct function of his/her leadership.
