We would like to recruit additional mechanical engineers to work with our team in our vibrant Nairobi office.
You should be an experienced mechanical engineer in building services with sound technical and design ability, ambitious and eager to prove your talents within a growing engineering consultancy organization.
You will design and manage the implementation of mechanical engineering building services to ensure they fully meet our client’s requirement and ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on time.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable university and at least 4 years of strong relevant building services mechanical engineering experience in either the Residential, Educational, Retail, Commercial or Leisure sectors.
Those who are already registered as Professional Engineers (PE) with the Engineers Board of Kenya and are Members of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (MIEK) will have an added advantage.
Your main responsibilities/duties will be as follows:
- Work with the client/architect to develop a detailed brief and reports of their requirements
- Take a proactive role in influencing design of the buildings in relation to efficient services integration and building energy performance
- Produce outline designs, scheme designs, and detailed design reports including drawings and specifications – you should computer literate and fully conversant with AutoCAD and other software
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects
- Ensure effective handover from the sub-contractors/contractors
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work individually and as a team
- Drive and determination
- Forward thinking and able to anticipate problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen to progress within the company
